Apartment in NY

My friend reached out after he saw my drawing on the natural history museum. He was moving to a new place and wanted a drawing of his lower east side apartment. While I am not sharing the original apartment picture, below are sketches before the final product.

The most tricky part was adding the brick pattern. Doing the full pattern will make the drawing look messy. I tried adding little t s for an effect but still didn't like it.

Right before coloring. More dramatic plant effect for my friend's unit. Cleaner finishing on the ladder on the fire escape. I love it.

And Tada! Final product that earned me a Godiva chocolate :)
